Question 924451: The height of a building is 1171 feet how long would it take for an object to fall to the ground from the top? USe the formula s=16t^2, where s is the distance,in feet traveled by an object falling freely from rest in t seconds.
Answer by Cromlix(4381) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
s = 16t^2
Height of building = 1171 feet
1171 = 16t^2
t^2 = 1171/16
t = square root of 73.19
t = 8.6 seconds (1 decimal place)
Hope this helps.
