Question 92247: Graph the inequality.
y \< –5

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Graph the inequality.
y \< –5
-----------------------
When you graph inequalities you must 1st graph the boundary
which is always the associated equality.
-----------------
Graph y=-5
Plot two points(0,-5) (2,-5) and draw a line thru them.
--------------

-----------------
Determine where the inequality graph is.
Pick a test point, like (0,0)
Check it in the inequality (y<-5); you get 0<-5.
That is false. (0,0) is not part of the solution set.
Shade the half-plane on the other side of the equality line.
