Answer by malakumar_kos@yahoo.com(315) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If y varies directly with x, and y = 54 when x = 3, find the constant of variation k
y varies dierctly as x
y = k*x where k is a constant
when y = 54 and x = 3 to find k
From the relation y = kx, k = y/x = 54/3 = 18
The value of k = 18
