How much of a(n) 90% orange juice drink must be mixed with 16 gallons of 30% orange juice drink to obtain a mixture that is 50% orange juice?
---------------------------------
Equation::
orange + orange = orange
0.90x + 0.30*16 = 0.50(x+16)
----
90x + 30*16 = 50x + 50*16
40x = 20*16
x = (1/2)16
x = 8 gallons (amt. of 90% juice needed)
