This is a very poorly written question.
.35¢ is about 1/3 of one cent.
$.35 is 35 cents which is about 1/3 of a dollar.
13 dollars is written $13.00
15d+35s=1300
d=2s
15*2s+35s=1300
30s+35s=1300
65s=1300
s=20 Sunday papers
d=40 daily papers delivered once
If they are daily not including Saturdays nor Sundays then we need to divide by 5

So he delivers 8 papers 5 times a week for a total of 40 daily papers and 20 papers once on Sundays.

Michael has a paper route. He earns .15¢ for each daily paper and .35¢ for each Sunday paper he delivers. Michael delivers twice as many daily papers each week as Sunday papers. How many of each type of paper does he deliver if he earns 13.00$ each week.

Let number of daily papers and Sunday papers delivered be D, and S, respectively
Then, Equation for earnings: .15D + .35S = 13 ------ eq (i)
Equation for number of papers delivered: D = 2S --------- eq (ii)
Solve equations for the value of D, the number of daily newspapers delivered, and then for S, the number
of Sunday papers delivered.
You should get D = 40, and S = 20
You can do the check!!
