Question 891418: A dress is on sale at a 33% discount, and the new price is $26.79. What was the original price?
Answer by JulietG(1812) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
$40
I know this right off from dress shopping ;-), but here's how to solve it.
26.79 = .67x (100%-the 33% discount)
Divide each side by .67
The exact amount is going to depend on the significant digits.
