Question 878751: GRE Question: NY is 3000 miles from LA, S leaves NY heading towards LA at the same time, R leaves LA heading towards NY. If S is moving at 200 mph and R is moving at 400 mph, how soon will one pass another?
Can u tell me what is constant here, the time cannot be constant, the distance is constant, the speed is not constant. Forgotten how to solve this!

t = t = D/r

600d = 400*3000
d = 400*3000/600 = 2000
= 5hr, time before they pass one another
