Question 878482: Nate owns a motorcycle that goes 12 mph faster than
his friend Brady’s moped. The two left on a trip to a

When Nate arrived at the cabin, Brady had 42 miles to go. Nate's speed was 12mph faster than Brady's. Therefore, they traveled 42/12 hours, or 3.5 hours.
We're given that the total distance was 217 miles. Nate traveled that distance in 3.5 hours, so divide 217 by 3.5.
217/3.5 = 62 mph
.
Nate needs to slow down!
