How far is the foot of the ladder from the base of the house?

The ladder is 6' off the ground after the 4' slip
Using pythag, the ladder is the hypotenuse, one leg is 6'
the other leg (d) is the distance the foot of the ladder is from the house
:
d^2 + 6^2 = 15^2
d^2 + 36 = 225
d^2 = 225 - 36
d^2 = 189
d =
d = 13.75' from the base of the house
