Question 858060: The width of a wide screen TV is 10 in. less than its length. The diagonal of the rectangular screen is 10 in. more than the length. Find the length and width of the screen.
Answer by Seutip(231)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let
x - be the length
x-10 - be the width
x+10 - be the diagonal
If you see, the length of the diagonal is the hypotenuse when you omit one side of the length and the width, it forms a right triangle. :)
So this means,

40 in length, 30 inch width and 50 inch is the diagonal!

Hope that helps!!
