Question 850930: 2 equations in 2 variables - Solve by row reducing
For the final days before the election, the campaign manager has a total of $25,000 to spend on TV and radio campaign advertisements. Each TV ad costs $3,000 and is seen by 10,000 voters which each radio ad costs $500 and is heard by 200 voters. Ignoring repeated exposures to the same voter, how many TV and radio ads will contact 90,000 voters using the allocated funds?
X=? Tv Ads
Y=? Radio Ads
Answer by richwmiller(17219) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Can't be done with the figures you gave
Nine tv ads will reach 90,000
You would need 9*3=$27000 to reach 9*10000=90000 voters
but you only have money for 25/3= 8 1/3 tv ads
or radio ads 25000/500=50 radio ads which will reach
50*200 =10000 voters
