The only information Jared gives Vera is the formula programmed into the machine that is used to cut and shape the dish. The function used by the dish making machine is as follows: y = -2/225x^2 + 50 (for output values greater than 0.)

If the machine is programmed in centimeters, what are the minimum interior dimensions of the crate that Vera needs to ship Kathy's dish?
**Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know this should form a parabola.... I just don't know how to approach this problem.**

If we graph this equation, it will be apparent how we can find the dimensions

The y intercept is 50, 50 cm is interior depth of the box
Find the x intercepts, they are +75 and -75, therefore the min length & width
would be 150 cm
