Question 843429: You have a rectangular shaped garden. The length of the garden is 6 meters and 28 meters of fencing is required to enclose it. What is the width of the garden?
Answer by Cromlix(4381) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Perimeter = 2xlength + 2xwidth
28m = 2 x 6 + 2 x width
28m = 12m + 2 x width
28 - 12 = 2x width
16m = 2 x width
16/2 = width
Width = 8 metres.
Hope this helps.
