Question 837875: Need Help

When you went on a vacation, you left a lamp on in the living room that lights the room with a 60-watt bulb. If electricity cost $0.12 per kilowatt-hour,how much did it cost to leave the light on for one week?

Answer by richard1234(7193)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1 week = 168 hours

(60 watts)(168 hours) = 10080 watt-hours = 10.08 kWh

(10.08 kWh)($0.12 / kWh) = $1.21 (to the nearest cent).
