This is just like a two part mixture problem. The concentration, instead of percent, is grams per coin. All of the variables work the same way. You can study my two-part mixture lesson linked in my profile.

H = 5 grams per coin for nickels
T = 1483/425 grams per coin, the current combination of coins, dimes and nickels
L = 2.268 grams per coin for dimes
M = 425 how many coins
u = how many dimes
v = how many nickels

Two equations to make from this are:
and
Solve for u and v.
