Answer by Edwin McCravy(20060)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Determine the domain and range of each relation. y = -2x + 1

The domain is

"ALL REAL NUMBERS", or

Â, or

{x|x Î Â } or

(-¥,¥)

because any real number can be substituted for x and you will
always get a real number for y.

The range is also

"ALL REAL NUMBERS", or

Â, or

{x|x Î Â } or

(-¥,¥)

because for any real number you choose, it is always possible to find
a number such that if you substitute it for x you will get that
real value for y.

Here is the graph of y = -2x + 1
