Question 78491: The combined resistance of two resistors R 1 and R 2 in a parallel circuit is given by the formula Rt=_1______
1/R1+1/R2 Simplify the formula

The Rt, R1 and R2 have the t,1 and 2 below the R. I am confused as to what this means. First time I've seen them written like this before. Help!!!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Rt=_1/[1/R1+1/R2]
Rt = 1/[(R1+R2)/R1R2]
Rt = (R1R2)/(R1+R2)
