Whitney completes a revolution every 40 seconds and Kim completes a revolution every 48 seconds. How long will it take them before they reach the starting point again simultaneously?

A couple ways of figuring this out.
The most basic is keep adding each one until they both are the same.
For example:
40+40+40+40++40+40=240
48+48+48+48+48=240
There we go, in 240 seconds they will both reach the starting point simultaneously.
