Question 750275: the perimeter of a rectangle is 700 yards. Find the length and width of the rectangle if the length is 50 yards more than the width?

Answer by kibauu(44)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
length=l
width=w
perimeter of rectangle=2(l+w)
l=w+50
700 yards=2((w+50)+w)
700=2.(2w+50)
700=4w+100
that's easy now to find w and also l
Cheers
