Question 749066: You live 10 miles away from where you work. If you work a full week (5 business days), how many miles will you travel? Remember, you are calculating round trip mileage. If your car gets 23 miles per gallon- how many gallons of gas would you use for that week’s commute? If gas is $3.55 per gallon- how much money would you spend in gas for that week? (only counting your commute)
Answer by Cromlix(4381) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Round trip = 20 miles
5 days x 20 miles = 100 miles
Car uses 23 miles per gallon
100 miles/23 = 4.348 gallons
4.348 gallons @ $3.55 per gallon
= $15.44.
