YOU NEED TO FIND THE LOWEST COMMON FACTOR FOR THE VALUES 10 & 12.
WHAT IS THE SMALLEST NUMBER THAT IS DIVISIBLE BY 10 & 12 WITHOUT ANY REMAINDER? TO FIND THIS VALUE, YOU NEED TO FIND ALL THE FACTORS OF 10 & 12 -- THUS:
10=1*2*5
12=1*2*2*3
NOW MULTIPLY ALL FACTORS (EVEN THOSE THAT APPEAR MULTIPLE TIMES).
LCF=1*2*2*3*5=60 ANS.
60/12=5 ARRANGEMENTS OF ROSES.
60/10=6 ARRANGEMENTS OF RIBBONS.
PROOF:
5*12=6*10
60=60
