Eliminate y
multiply (1)by -31.00
Multiply (2) by 26.00
-1240.00 x -806.00 y = -15087.70
520.00 x + 806.00 y = 8643.70
Add the two equations
-720.00 x = -6444.00
/ -720.00
x = 8.95
plug value of x in (1)
40.00 x + 26.00 y = 486.70
358.00 + 26.00 y = 486.70
26.00 y = 486.70 -358.00
26.00 y = 128.70
y = 4.95
