Well, there are 16 ounces in a pound. If we convert the 8 pounds, 3 ounces, we get 131 ounces.
4 pounds is 64 ounces.
28 days=4 weeks

So, our equation would be...
o=131+x(w) ; o=ounces after weeks, x=weight gained per week, w=number of weeks

If we put this information in and solve the problem:
o=131+64(4)
o=131+256
o=387

So, the baby will be 387 ounces, or 24 pounds, 3 ounces.
