She decided that she would buy fed heatrs for the girls to give to the boys, blue hearts for the girls to giv to the girls, green for the boys to give to the boys, and yellow hearts for the boy to give to the girls.
How many chocolate hearts of each color did Mrs.Newman need to buy?

Karen needs 2 Red and 2 Blue
Lisa needs 2 Red and 2 Blue
Amy needs 2 Red and 2 Blue
Jack needs 3 Yellow and 1 Green
Mark needs 3 Yellow and 1 Green
So a total of 6 Red, 6 Blue, 6 Yellow and 2 Green will be needed.
(Each girl gets 2 Blue and 2 Yellow)
