Answer by checkley75(3666) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
X+X+2(X+2)=30
X+X+2X+4=30
4X=30-4
4X=26
X=26/4
X=6.5 FEET FOR THE 2 SHORTER PIECES &
30-6.5-6.5
30-13=17 FEET FOR THE LONGER PIECE OR:
2(6.5+2)
2*8.5=17 FEET FOR THE LONGER PIECE.
PROOF
6.5+6.5+17=30
30=30
