Question 699480: The two rail lines are 5 m apart. Track A is the inner track and Track B is the outer track. How much longer is track B? Please show me the steps
Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If it is a circular track
outer track length = 2*pi*r1 (radius of outer track)
Inner track length = 2*pi*r2 (radius of inner track)
difference = 2pir1-2pir2
= 2pi(r1-r2)
=2pi*5
=10pi
=31.4 m
