The distance, d , an object drops in free fall varies directly as the square of time. If an object falls 16 meters in 12 seconds, how far will an object fall in 60 seconds?
---------------
s = kt^2
16 = k*12^2 = 144k
k = 1/9
--------
s = (1/9)*60^2
s = 400
===================
Or, it's 5x the time --> 25x the distance.
