Hi,

The plumber worked for 3 times as long as the painter and the painter worked 5 times as long as the electrician's hours  . 

The total wage bill was £630. How much was each man paid? 

Translate into an equation:

Electrician + Painter + Plumber 

 x + 5x + 15x = 21x

 =£630

       

Electrician  = £30 

Painter £150

Plumber £450
