Sulphuric acid I 24 ---------------- 4 liters
sulphuric acid II 40 ---------------- x liters
Mixture 35 ---------------- 4 + x liters

24*4+40 x=35(4+x)
96+40x =140+35 x
40x-35 x =-96+140
5x=44
/ 5
x = 8.8 liters sulphuric acid II
