Question 662842: 8th grade honors algebra...I cannot figure out the equation to solve the following word problem: Hal makes $4 an hour working after school and $6 and hour working on Saturdays. Last week he made $88 working a total of 18 hours. How many hours did he work on Saturday.

4x+6(18-x)=88
4x=108-6x=88
-2x=88-108
-2x=-20
x=-20/-2
x=10 hrs per wk days
18-x=8 hrs Saturday
