13 bushes and 4 trees, and totaled $487

6 bushes and 2 trees, and totaled $232.

What were the costs of one bush and of one tree

Question states*** 

 13x + 4y = 487

  6x + 2y = 232   ||Multiplying 2nd EQ by 2, and subtracting to eliminate  y

     x = $23, cost of one bush.  Tree costs $47    

and...

 = $487
