Question 661403: hi, can you please help? here is my math question--
for how many tickets is the cost the same for club members and non-members. one time membership fee $30, club member ticket price $3, non-member ticket price $6. it has to be an equation with a variable on both sides.
thank you!
Answer by ReadingBoosters(3246) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
fee $30
member $3
non-member $6
x = number of tickets
30 + 3x = 6x
30 + 3x - 3x = 6x - 3x
30 = 3x
30/3 = 3x/3
10 = x
when there are 10 tickets
Proof
30 + 3(10) = 60
6(10) = 60
