Since there are 6 possible results, if the die is fair, a 2 will be rolled on average one in six tosses or 1/6 of the time.
52*1/6 = 8 2/3
Check the problem. It is surprising to me that they would make this an uneven number. If it was 48 * 1/6, then you would expect to get a two 8 times.
