Funny problem. Won't they get in each other's way?
Perhaps, you mean the long fluorescent bulbs including fixtures.
3 students work 6 hours for a total of 18 work hours to install 2 light bulbs averaging 9 hours per bulbs.
so 5 bulbs should take 5*9=45 work hours.
45 work hours divided by 9 students is 5 hours for each student.
so 9 students should be able to install 5 bulbs in 5 hours.
