Question 560504: The smallest angle in a triangle is half of the largest angle. The third angle is 40° less than the largest angle. Find the measure of all three angles.
I don't know how to set up the problem, or what the equation would be equaled to.

The smallest angle in a triangle is half of the largest angle. The third angle is 40° less than the largest angle. Find the measure of all three angles.
------
Let smallest be "x".
Then largest is "2x".
And 3rd angle = "2x-40"
-----------------
Equation:
x + 2x + 2x-40 = 180
5x = 220
x = 44 degrees
---
2x = 88 degrees
---
2x-40 = 48 degrees
