Answer by deborabr(181) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Steve's mom's age = 3x-7
Steve's age = x
Steve's mom's age + Steve's age = 65 years
x+3x-7=65
4x=65+7
4x=72
x=72/4
x=18
Steve's age is 18
Steve's mom's age is 3*18-7 = 54-7 = 47
Steve's mom's age is 47
