Boys = b = ?
Girls = g = ?
Total number of people in school = t+b+g
2430=162+b+g .........(1)
156 more boys than girls means
b=g+156.................(2)
Put the value of b in (1) we have
2430=162+(g+156)+g
2430=162+(g+156)+g
2430=318+2g
2430-318=2g
2430-318=2g
2112=2g
Divide by 2 both sides of above equation
2112/2=2g/2
1056=g
g=1056
Put the value of g in (2)
b=g+156.................(2)
b=1056+156
b=1212
Teachers = 162
Girls = 1056
Boys = 1212
Total number of people in school = t+b+g
2430=162+1212+1056
2430=2430
