Question 501576: Bob and Jessie each want to buy a candy bar. Jessie is 1 cent short to buy a candy bar and Bob is 7 cents short to buy one as well. So, they decide to combine their savings in order to buy a candy bar to share. Even after they combine their money, they were still unable to buy the candy bar. Find the price of the candy bar.

Bob has no money. If he did, he could give Jessie 1 cent. Since Bob is 7 cents short the candy bar costs 7 cents.
