Question 488004: The difference between two numbers is 15. Their sum is 77. What are the numbers?
Answer by John10(297)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x - y = 15 (1)
x + y = 77 (2)
Add (1) and (2):
2x = 92
x = 92/2
x = 46
Then y = 77 - 46 = 31
