Question 486967: the perimeter of some traffic signs must be 92 inches. its length is 14 inches longer than its width. find the dimensions of the sign
Answer by John10(297) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Perimeter is P = 2l + 2w = 92
l = w + 14
P = 2(l + w) = 92 or l + w = 46
w + 14 + w = 46
2w + 14 = 46
2w = 32
w = 16
l = w + 14 = 16 + 14 = 30
Length is 30 in
Width is 16 in
