I don't see the reason why A was mentioned since B can do 2/5 of the job in 8 days, and it's being asked how much work B can do in 1 day.

Since B can do of the job in 8 days, then we can set up a proportion to answer this question.

Let fraction of work by B in 1 day be W. Then we'll have:
