Question 464157: "In a baseball game the Saints had four more hits than the Dolphins. If six times the numbers of hits by the Dolphins was sixteen greater than twice the number of hits by the Saints, how many hits did each team make?"
This is the word problem. Im very confused. I came up with this equation but i do not think its right. and if it is, im not sure how to continue the problem.

Let n and (n+4) represent the number of hits by the dolphins and saints respectively
Question states***
6n = 2(n+4) +16
4n = 24
n = 6, number of hits by the dolphins. Saints with 10 hits.
