The resistance, in Ohms, of a 25 foot piece of wire is given by the function , where d is the diameter of the wire in inches. What happens to the resistance of the wire as the diameter of the wire decreases?
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
R(d)=(025)/(d^2)
The formula indicates that R(resistance) and d(diameter)
are indirectly related.
So when diameter decreases resistance increases.
