Question 438684: I am having trouble setting up this word problem: A fruit salad contains an equal number of grapes and kiwi, 5 more bananas than grapes, and half as many strawberries as kiwi. There are a total of 19 pieces of fruit. Find the number of pieces of each fruit.

Grapes=Kiwis
Bananas=Grapes+5
Strawberries=1/2Kiwis:
G+G+(G+5)+1/2G=19
3.5G=14
7G=28
G=4
There are 4 grapes, 4 kiwis, 9 bananas, and 2 strawberries in the fruit salad.
