20 cent coins x Numbers
$2 coin ------------ y Numbers
x+y=27 .............1
x+2y=23.4 .............2
multiply (1) by -2
-2x-2y=-54
0.2x+2y=23.4
Add the two equations
-1.8x=-30.6
/-1.8
x=17 20 cent coins
plug value of x in (1)
x+y=27
17+y=27
y=27-17
y=10 $2 coin
