Answer by Coyote 10(7) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
First asign variables fro boys and girls, make x=boys and y=girls. In the problem it says there are 620 students altogether ub the school thus your first equation should be x+y=620. the next part says that the diffrence between boys and girls is 20 thus your second equation would be x-y=20. From here add the equations together to yield 2x=640, divide by 2 to yield x=320. plug 320 into either one and two, but you should yield 300 for y. Thus you get 320 boys and 300 girls
