The word problem is:
Write the digits 1 � 9 using four 4�s (for each digit) and the four basic operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Example: 0 = 44 � 44

I simply have no idea what this means
would it be like
22+22=44? I do not understand what this word problem means

They want you to create the numbers 0 through 9 only using four 4's and four arithmetic operations

So in the example, they created 0 using 4 fours and subtraction.

So another example would be creating 7:

7 = 4+4-4/4

The description of the problem could be better, but
I think I get what they're asking.
They want you to represent each of the
numbers 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8, and 9
using the numbers 4,4,4, and 4 and connecting
any combinations of the four 4's with allowed
operations: (+), (-), (x), and(/)
I can say, for instance,

I can't think of a combination for 4, but
