3/5x = 36
x=60
TOTAL frogs is 60

2/3 of the remainder are TREE FROGS
Remainder is TOTAL minus BULLFROGS
60-36 = 24
Remainder is 24
(2/3)(24) = 16
TREE FROGS is 16

The rest are river frogs
TOTAL minus BULL minus TREE = RIVER
60-36-16 = 8
