Question 373526: Hello, I require some insight on this problem to see if I set it up correctly.
The word problem states: Between the bicycles and tricycles in the bike shop, there was a total of 176 wheels, an 152 pedals. How many tricycles and bicycles were in the shop? Include a write up a system of equations in matrix.
I came up with this:
2x+3y=176
2x+2y=152
where x = bicycles
and y= tricycles
