Hi,
Let x represent one of the numbers and a the other
Questions states
(x+a)^2 = (x-a)^2 +20
let x = 1

1 + 2a + a^2 = 1 -2a + a^2 + 10
4a = 10
a = 10/4 0r 5/2
checking our answer
(7/2)^2 = (-3/2)^2 + 10
49/4 = 9/4 + 40/4 = 49/4
